This was one of many horses that was friendly and wanting loves. He was by far the largest and most photogenic (in my opinion!). My head and the middle of his back were the same height. He was massive to say the least. Truly a gentle giant. I managed to pluck some grass from beneath the snow as a gesture of goodwill. He rewarded me with some lovely photos.
After leaving my horse friends, I heard some raucous honking up the road. I came across a fairly large pond on the property that was occupied by hundreds of geese and ducks.
I'm not exactly sure who they were honking at before I came along but as soon as they saw me they came running and flying towards me. I don't know if you've ever had hundreds of birds coming at you at once but let me tell you it can be a bit unnerving!
One of many antique pieces of equipment that Wheeler Farm has displayed.
So that was my Sunday walk at the farm. Thanks for walking with me and checking out the sights!

wow I am very impressed with your tallent to capture such breath taking pictures.
I love the pics you took...very perfessional and beautiful!
Wheeler Farm is so much fun. I bet all those ducks thought you had some bread for them. LOL We use to take our girls there all the time when they were little. The works there would let them feed the animals sometimes. Fun memories, thanks for the walk down memory lane!
Those are great pics! Wow, that horse is ginormous!!
That was trully beautiful. I love Wheeler Farm. The ducks chasing you down made me chuckle! Next time take bread you can throw at them for a quick get away.
Holy Excellent Photography!! You are truly amazing with a camera, my friend.
Loved this post! I didn't notice - did you see any seagulls?
And btw - geese scare the crap out of me.
Further - how do you have such amazing blog headers all the time? Do you photoshop?
Final comment, promise - I bawled during Marley and Me!! Like a sobbing idiot. Such a good movie.
Those pictures turned out really good. Did you take the rest of the family? If you did you should have taken a picture with Tyson. That would have been really fun.
Wow 10 comments! I love getting comments!!
JLW - NO I did not see any seagulls. If I do I'll send them your way. And my headers are done by me myself and I in photoshop. I like to do my own.
Lisa - No I went all by myself and left Doug and Tyson home to veg and watch football. Another time we'll have to take Tyson. He would love the animals for sure.
Wow Michelle! Beautiful pictures--you are making me want to get back to Wheeler Farm! Beautiful!
Beautiful photos! We love that place. Have you ever had a chance to tour the house? If not it's a must-do in the summer.
And those geese might look 'cute' but they are MEAN! I have a photo that was haphazardly snapped of my 1 year old boy before I had to drop the camera to swoop in and save his little head from a charging goose.
