Sunrise in Vernon, Utah

Where is Vernon, you ask? I asked the same thing on my first trip there. It is a small (as in no stop lights small) town in the west desert. Waaaaaaaay past Tooele. We had camped over night and I woke up to this beautiful sunrise.

Wow, I always thought Vernon was just an old wise tale. You mean such town actually exists? So is it true that everyone from Vernon has retractable horns growing out of their heads? Just wonderin..LOL!

That is beautiful and I feel rather dumb having lived here for too many years now and didn't know there was a Vernon, UT.... but I still have trouble with all the names of all the little towns up north as well.

I love the picture...it is gorgeous! My Grandma grew up in Vernon...so we have taken many a long trips to visit the small town and cemetary. She grew up in a house (the original burnt down) at the south part of town across from the cemetary. I think the street that runs along the side of the house is named after their family "Sharp" road, street, something like that.
